This is a mostly unabridged version of the original Paragon book and has been reproduced using the latest laser scanning and digital printing technology.

This edition contains 11 proprietary crochet patterns from vintage Paragon Knitting Books 104 and No 2, as well as Crochet Book 119, with 21 crochet items to choose from. Material-wise, these patterns are traditionally made with 4ply cotton, but experience has indicated that 3ply wool may be used as a substitute. The patterns featured create items ranging from 7 jackets to a shawl and pair of mittens, all suitable for babies in the newborn to 6 month or 20" chest range, except for the Frock pattern, which provides two sizes. Additionally, instructions for twisted cord and tassel are included. This publication (20 pages) allows for mix-and-matching or the creation of a full layette.
