Project: Lace and Fade Boxy

Project: Lace and Fade Boxy

Hey there, fellow crafters! Today, we're diving into the wonderful world of knitting and celebrating one of my most cherished finished makes of 2023. Drumroll, please... Introducing the Lace and Fade Boxy, a pattern by the fabulous Joji Locatelli!

Now, let's talk yarn. For this project, I used the exquisite Blackwattle Yarn & Fibre Kunzea 4 ply in the mesmerizing colorway Prophecy, together with the luscious Onion Knit Silk and Kid mohair in the vibrant shade of 3007 Green. Talk about a match made in knitting heaven!  You will see, I decided to make it all in the one colour, rather than fade it.

Why is this sweater so special?

Well, dear readers, let us count the ways. First and foremost, both of these yarns are an absolute dream to work with. They glide through your fingers like butter, making the knitting process a pure delight. And when you combine that with the stunning Lace and Fade Boxy pattern, magic happens.

This sweater has become an absolute staple in my wardrobe. In fact, I've worn it so much during 2023 that it has officially earned the title of their most worn knit item. The Lace and Fade Boxy is the epitome of comfort and style, with its relaxed fit and elegant lace details.

But what makes it so special?

Well, let us tell you a little secret. The Lace and Fade Boxy is not just a sweater; it's a statement piece. It's a conversation starter. It's a work of art that you can wear. The alternate rows of lace and stockinette is a winning combination that will turn heads wherever you go.

But wait, there's more! This sweater is not just a one-season wonder. Thanks to the versatile design and the choice of lightweight yarns, it can be worn all year round. Layer it over a cute summer dress for those chilly summer evenings, or pair it with your favorite jeans and boots for a cozy winter look. The possibilities are endless!

So, what are you waiting for?

If you're a knitter looking for your next project, look no further. The Lace and Fade Boxy is calling your name. Grab your needles, choose your favorite yarns, and let the knitting adventure begin. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Happy knitting, my fellow yarn lovers!
