Present Symmetry Cowl by Melissa Miller

This weekend, I am off to the Queensland Spinners Weavers and Fibre Artists annual retreat, which is being held in Maroochydore in 2023.
In our group of 4, we have planned a great weekend of knitting, chatting, relaxing, and good company. One of those plans is to all make the same pattern over the weekend so we have a great reminder of our time away. This year, we have decided on the Present Symmetry Cowl by Melissa Miller which is a free pattern available on Ravelry.
I have decided to use Natural Fibre Arts Aran Luxe in the colour way, Heritage. This colour is a beautiful Maroon Red with a real richness to it that is hard to capture on camera. The yarn feels just divine and making a cowl with it will be perfect. All that lovely luxuriousness of 70% Baby Alpaca and 30% Silk to nuzzle into.
I like to make cowls and small circumference items using a 4" needle as it gives that space to work in a smaller area. For this project, I am using the HiyaHiya 4" 5mm Interchangeable Needle Tips with a 16" / 40cm Interchangeable Cable.
So I have wound my yarn, cast on my stitches and knitted one round all ready go get going on Friday!
Here's all the details on the project:
